The Nirvana Cultural Society has over the past 33 years raised money for the Stephen Lewis Aids fund, The Princess Margaret Cancer fund, Toronto Organ donation, Aboriginal Children’s, Literacy program, Battered Women’s shelter and the Nelson Mandela’s children’s fund to name a few.

We, the members of NCS decided at inception, we had a responsibility to give back to this wonderful country.  Hence, the annual fundraising Diwali Ball.

The festival of lights (Diwali) is the celebration of light over darkness, good over evil, knowledge over ignorance. This Dharma, (belief that, Service to Humanity is Service to God) has been an ongoing inspiration to all of us who care about the under-privileged, the afflicted and the poverty stricken.  Through the years we have donated to many charities without regard to colour, creed or religion. Our emphasis is to reach out and help wherever it is needed.

Our continuing efforts to ease the lives of so many who need help, is not possible without the help and cooperation of all like minded citizens.
